- I have not visited here for a number of days so forgive me if I repeat an
- answer already given.
-
- Silent Answer is used for differentiating between voice and fax calls.
- With Silent Answer enabled you can receive messages on your answering
- machine or faxes on your computer.
-
- Silent Answer Plus adds the ability to receive incoming data calls to the
- feature described above. Additional software is needed for arbitrating
- the serial port on the computer if you want to use this feature. So, with
- Silent Answer Plus you can receive faxes and data calls as well as have
- messages left on your answering machine.
-
- Neither feature will work with voicemail systems available through most
- phone companies.
